My ideal of adventure lies in spaces others have overlooked

Roche Carapana

Sixteen days alone, travelling more than 220km by foot and packraft carrying a 40kg backback, completely self-sufficient across one of the most pristine and untouched region of French Guiana.

Cerro Iago
- Colombia -

Eleven days alongside an indigenous Embera hunter, setting out to conquer a previously uncharted summit.

Karaurín-tepui
- Colombia -

Ten days alongside three Pemon Amerindians, conducting a herpetological survey on the slopes of the Karaurín-tepui.

Welcome!

Incurable adventurer

I’m Edouard Veuillet, a Swiss-trained biologist and herpetologist driven by exploration, a thirst for knowledge about the natural world, and above all, a deep passion for amphibians and reptiles. In 2023, after earning a master’s degree in biology with a specialization in herpetology (the study of amphibians and reptiles) in Brussels, I felt a strong urge to complement all this theoretical knowledge with authentic, hands-on field experiences and challenges.

After years of studying the living world, I longed to immerse myself in nature, alone. This calling, guided by passion and insatiable curiosity led me to organise expeditions into some of the most remote and biologically diverse regions of our planet, in search of my ideal: untouched, inaccessible jungles teeming with amphibians and reptiles.

This website is my way of sharing that passion, my thoughts, and the discoveries I’ve made along the way. Welcome !
